Checking in is easy in Bocas. Just go to the port captain's office which is located at the ferry terminal. Bring your zarpe, boat document, cruising permit, passport and crew list. You can also get your cruising permit issued or renewed here. If you stay at the Bocas Marina, they will assist you. Immigration is handled at the Government house in the park. To renew your immigration status, you go to Changuinola. Changuinola can be reached by air through Aeroperlas for ten dollars, one way. You can also reach Changuinola by water taxi and bus, but it will only save about five dollars each way, and will take most of a day. Once you are at the Changuinola Airport, take a taxi to Migracion. While you are in Changuinola, pick up supplies not available in Bocas.
